MOBILE UNIT & EVENT WRANGLER
What you will enjoy:
Groom the horses and observe their interactions with residents and visitors.
Our mobile unit crew is responsible for:
-
Grooming and preparing the horses for the visit
-
Leading the horses and watching their feet and equipment to keep residents/visitors safe
-
Listening and holding space for the residents/visitors
-
Know each horse's background, mission, and programs at EAD
-
Helping load them in and out of the trailer for mobile visits
Required skills:
Safety awareness for themselves, the residents, and the animals.
Able to answer questions and interact with the residents and visitors.
Ability to stand back from the horse's head and shoulders while maintaining control.
HORSE CARE AND CLEANING
What you will enjoy:
Greeting and handling the horses one-on-one, watching them run, roll, and play in the pasture, grooming and hand grazing quietly.
Our morning crew is responsible for the following:

Feeding the animals as instructed

Grooming the horses
-
Leading the horses and getting them into their paddocks safely
-
Cleaning the stalls
-
Cleaning/refilling water buckets and water troughs
-
Setting up hay in the stalls and pastures as instructed
Our evening crew is responsible for the following:
-
Bringing the horses in and providing their evening meals
-
Confirming they have water and feed for the night
-
Grooming and cleaning the horses if needed.

Check them for any injuries or signs of illness.

Dressing any wounds and cleaning hooves
-
Returning all tools and equipment to the proper storage area
-
Securing the animals and property for the night
Required skills:
Self-motivated and attention to behavior changes.
Safety awareness for themselves and the animals.
OPEN BARN AND EVENT HOST
What you will enjoy:
Greeting and assisting visitors to the facility.
Explain what EAD does and the services we offer to the community.
Our hosts are responsible for:

Welcoming, listening, and holding space for the visitors.

Obtaining proper signed waivers for every visitor
-
Offering and participating in activities with visitors
-
Know each horse’s background, mission, and programs at EAD
-
Knowing resources available to visitors
Required skills:
Safety awareness for themselves, the residents, and the animals.
Able to answer questions and interact with visitors.
